Adaptive City Planning
Research and data measuring climate risks for cities is abundant. But few studies use that data to make recommendations on how cities should prepare for and adapt to climate change in response to climate risk assessments.
Crow Insight designed an interactive visualization dashboard prototype for the Notre-Dame Global Adaptation Index (ND-GAIN) that will help city planners assess, compare, and analyze the condition of each city in its preparedness to address climate hazards.
In the future, urban leaders will be more equipped to make decisions for a brighter and more resilient future for their cities. This engaging tool illuminates an otherwise opaque and complex methodology, providing essential transparency for an issue that may require substantial sacrifice and commitment from stakeholders.
