“And the Survey Says…”

The standard outputs of survey providers and spreadsheets are quite often ineffective at helping you, your boss and your coworkers draw meaning from the results. (And isn’t that the point?)
That’s why a university asked Crow Insight to create a suite of visuals to publicly describe the success of a re-branding campaign that had generated substantial discussion (and some opposition) among stakeholders.
There is no single “right” graph for survey data. It depends upon the data, the audience, the context and the point being made. This horizontal bar chart uses the branding campaign’s color palette and sacrifices some detail in order to emphasize overall positive sentiment.
