A Dashboard Letting Users Examine Correlations Between Spending and Performance
Effective program management requires good measurement and wise allocation of resources. For a major federal agency, we analyzed data for several programs to discern correlations between expenditures and performance, building an exploratory dashboard to help reveal hidden patterns. Visual analysis techniques enabled us to accurately compare trend line slopes and account for lags between program spending and performance outcomes due to implementation time.
